What should I bring?

Anything you would bring for a camping trip! Definitely plan on bringing a tent, water, canned beverages (no glass) and a bathing suit.

What is your alcohol policy?

This is a BYOB event. Please bring cans instead of glass.

Will there be an ATM on site?

No. Make sure to bring extra cash for food vendors and band merchandise.

Do I have to sleep in a tent?

If you prefer, you can sleep in your vehicle or bring a small to medium size trailer. There are also a limited number of cabins available to rent. Email crystallakesoundinfo@gmail.com to inquire about cabin availability.

Do the campsites have electricity?

There is no electricity in the designated camping areas.

Is access to water provided on site?

Access to unfiltered artesian well water is available. We encourage you to bring your own water as well.

Is there a washroom/shower facility on the property?

There will be porta-potties throughout the campground, as well as a washing/cold shower station. For a hot shower or swimming, Durham Conservation Area is a 10 minute drive away and it's $3 to use their facilities.

Will there be food vendors?

There will be food vendors on site, so remember to bring cash. We can't guarantee that the vendors will be able to satisfy all dietary requirements, so if you have allergies or restrictions, we recommend bringing your own food.

Where is Crystal Lake? Can I swim in it?

Camp Crystal Lake was a fictional summer camp for kids in the Friday the 13th film series. The original home of the Crystal Lake concert and camping weekend was a former Girl Guides of Canada camp, so the name seemed fitting.

There's plenty of natural spaces to explore on the grounds of Frontier Ghost Town, but unfortunately no lake.

Okay...so where's the nearest swimming hole?

Durham Conservation Area, home to scenic McGowan Falls, has a designated swimming area. There's 17 waterfalls within 30 kilometers of Frontier Ghost Town.
